Keynote Speaker Prof. Alison McGregor, Dep’t of Musculoskeletal Biodynamics, Imperial College:

‘How forces at connections points, such the pianist’s seat and feet, may potentially be linked with the movement  of the pianist’s body and the quality of the music’s  output using a microphone to  capture sound frequencies’.

Cristine MacKie: Director of the London International Piano Symposium:

‘The concept of the mind/body dualism modus operandi has been, and continues to be, the most trenchant and resistant problem in the teaching and performing of music. Cristine’s talk will  seek to present an evolutionary viewpoint that suggests that musical reasoning in the mind may be supported by the performer’s bodily capacity to function or move’.

Andrew Higgins: EPTA  Business Manager, Pianist and Educator:

‘So You Want to Learn to Improvise’.
